Who We Are

We count it a privilege and responsibility, one we take seriously before God, to be instrumental in educating your children.

We are a private Christian School in Hartswater that has classes from Grade RR up to Grade 7. As a team we are committed to nurture, love and pray for our learners. Our desire is that all our learners will accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We endeavor to teach them to serve others and become responsible members of their home, communities, and world. Hartswater Christian School exists in giving children an opportunity to obtain excellent education, while building character and delivering well-rounded individuals to society.

Our desire is that each parent, learner, supervisor and monitor will have a rewarding experience at Hartswater Christian School while our learners are also receiving a revelation of God’s destiny for their lives.

God’s richest blessings to you and your families.

FOUNDER OF HARTSWATER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

The heart behind the birth of Hartswater Christian School

About HCS

I started home schooling my children in 2008, but in 2014, I switched over to the ACE Curriculum. I was amazed and blessed by the content and way it trains and lead the children to know God, true to His Word, while giving scientifically accurate and up to date learning material, that will put our children on the map in the world one day.

Each day, whilst teaching my children through this Curriculum I desired in my heart for more children to be trained in God’s ways through school using this curriculum.

The Lord kept on inspiring me to start a Christian School using this God honoring Curriculum, training children in His Truth, that there is no other way to the Father and to salvation, except through Jesus Christ. After much prayer and counsel from God fearing friends and leaders, I endeavored to undertake this journey to have as many children as we possibly can, being taught in the ways of the Lord as He has instructed us.

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds, tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 11:18-19

Since then, we saw many miracles, of which I need to share a few. As I stepped out in faith and made known this plan, Carlene De Wet stepped up and said, “How can I help?” She became my right hand in many practical ways, but especially in taking up the privilege and great task of teaching our first Grade R group. The foundation she laid in those little ones are still evident in their academics and their lives today.

Just after Carlene, Belinda Venter stepped up and said she had always desired to be part of starting a school. She became prominent in the administrative part of the school. The Lord used her gift of organizing and administration in a wonderful way, thus laying a strong foundation in the way the school is still being administered today.

Both these precious women were crucial in the foundation laying of the school. Through a lot of prayer, they helped make humongous decisions, stood in faith with me and just kept on believing that God can make a way in times there seemed to be no way. I would never have been able to do this without them.

Another wonderful miracle was God’s provision. We had no money in our account. We needed R100 000 just to build and get a playground ready. We were desperately seeking God’s intervention as we had no other means to accomplish this goal. Someone inspired by God approached me and asked how much we needed to start the school. When I revealed the amount, the person broke down crying and confessed that was the exact amount God instructed her to give into the work of God. The exact amount was confirmation that the Lord had spoke to the person to give it for the school’s start.

In October 2016 we had only 3 applications, and for us to open the school we needed at least 10 children, just to make it possible to start and cover only basic costs. Through prayer and intercession, God provided and opened Hartswater Christian School with 17 learners!

We serve a faithful, great, and wonderful God Who supplies our every need as we listen and obey Him.

May Hartswater Christian School continue to train children in the way they should go, that when they are big, they will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

May The Lord Jesus always stay the Head of this School and May His name always be glorified.

Our Emblem and Values
Truth + Love + Faith
Our school’s emblem reflects our Core Values.

We live in a time where people think that they can decide what is ‘true’ to them, but truth is absolute: God as Creator is the only One who determines truth.

The Living Bible is Truth. Truth is a person. His name is Jesus.

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:6; NIV)
“If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the Truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8: 31b-32; NIV)

We value Truth, because Truth leads to salvation and freedom, and we desire that all our students will obtain that.

“Everything is possible for the one who believes.” (Mark 9:23)

We can only become right with God through faith, and not through obedience to the law (Gal. 2:16). Faith brings rest from striving and stress. Faith releases God’s supernatural assistance in our lives. Through faith everyone can have a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus (Philippians 3:8), and that is what it is all about. True faith releases love.

Love is in the center of our Emblem because it is the greatest of it all.
God is love. Jesus came to reveal God the Father. Love must be the motivation for all we do. God gave His Son because of His great love for us (John 3:16).
It is our prayer that everyone who meets us will see God’s love in us. To love every person means that we value and honor all people the same.

To abide in God is to abide in love. We expect that everything will be done in love.

All the other values are included in love – Integrity, Excellence & Respect.
